NFL Week 1 2025: Score Projections & Insights
Your week one NFL score projections powered by AWS, with player highlights, key matchups, and original commentary for every game.
Defending Super Bowl Champs vs NFC East Rival
The defending Super Bowl champions start off the 2025 season with a home win over their NFC East rival 28-20. Philly may take a step back on defense due to losses in free agency, but Jaylen Herz and the offense lead them to victory.
Chiefs vs Chargers in Sao Paulo
Patrick Mahomes and the Chiefs pick up their eighth straight win against the Chargers 24-20. Kansas City has gotten off to a quick start with Mahomes under center as he's 19-4 in September in his career.
Aaron Rogers & Jets vs Aaron Glenn's Debut
New quarterback Aaron Rogers goes back to East Rutherford and spoils Aaron Glenn's head coaching debut with a 21-19 win over the Jets. Rogers can still sling it, and I expect him to hit DK Metaf on a deep ball in their Steelers debut.
Daniel Jones & Giants vs Dolphins
The decision to name Daniel Jones the starting quarterback pays off in week one for Shane Stiken with a 26-24 win over the Dolphins. Miami will be explosive on offense again, but it's their defense that concerns me more.
Travis Hunter & Jaguars vs Liam Cohen's Debut
Travis Hunter and the Jaguars pick up a 24-20 win in Liam Cohen's first game as head coach. Look for Hunter to play both ways, but I expect him to play more snaps on offense than defense early in the season.
Jaden Daniels & Cardinals vs New York Giants
Jaden Daniels continues the strong start to his career with a 27-20 win over the New York Giants. The Giants pass rush is scary, but Daniels gets the ball out quickly or scrambles to neutralize them.
Bengals vs Browns
Joe Bro is 1-0 in his career in weeks one and two, but the Bengals break out of their early season slump with a 27-19 win over the Browns. AFC Northball, man. Where else would you rather be?
Patriots vs Raiders
New head coach Mike Vrabel begins his Patriots tenure with a 25-21 win over Pete Carroll and the Raiders. Look for Drake May to make the leap in year two with new OC Josh McDaniels.
Cardinals vs Saints
The Arizona Cardinals get off to a strong start with a 24-7 win over the New Orleans Saints. Kyler Murray, Marvin Harrison Jr., Trey McBride, and the offense are poised to make a leap this season.
Bucs vs Falcons
Baker Mayfield and the Bucks pick up where they left off last season on offense, putting up 26 points in a win over the Falcons. Look for first-round pick Amika Agbuka to be involved right away as Chris Godwin and Jaylen McMillan are dealing with injuries.
Broncos vs Cam Ward Debut
Shawn Payeyton and the Broncos spoil number one overall pick Cam Ward's NFL debut with a 26-7 victory. Look for Peyton to give Bonix a lot more responsibility within the offense in year two.
Seahawks vs Brock Perie & Ners
Sam Darnold pulls off the upset in his Seahawks debut as Seattle defends home field with a 22-21 win over Brock Perie and the Ners. Even though I don't have them winning this game, look for Christian McCaffrey to be back and healthy and have a big season in 2025.
Lions vs Green Bay Packers
The Detroit Lions win their first game without Ben Johnson and Aaron Glenn 25-23 over division rival Green Bay Packers. The Lions have been building something special over the last few seasons and I believe Dan Campbell continues that this season.
Rams vs Houston Texans
A healthy Matthew Stafford and the Rams pick up a 23-22 win over the Houston Texans in week one. Look for Devonte Adams to be a big part of the passing attack right away. Kiran Williams punches it in.
Bills vs Ravens
The Buffalo Bills once again defeat the Baltimore Ravens 26-24. Buffalo's defense will do just enough to contain Lamar Jackson, Derrick Henry, and the Ravens offense to squeak out a win.
Bears vs Minnesota
Ben Johnson wins his Bears debut by a score of 22-21 over Minnesota in JJ McCarthy's NFL debut. Look for Caleb Williams to be more decisive in this offense and get the ball out quickly to neutralize Brian Flores's blitzing defense.
